Incredible  Apple Pumpkin Strudel Pie

 

Makes two pies.  

Temp 425*

 

 

Pumpkin mixture

2 large c or 4 small or 6c Pumpkin

1c Cream or Milk

8 Eggs

3c Brown Sugar

2tsp Cinnamon

1tsp Nutmeg

1tsp Cloves

 

~Mix together all above in bowl

 

Apple Mixture 

 

6 pealed sliced Apples

1tbsp Cinnamon

1c Brown sugar

 

 ~Mix and Set aside

 

Strudel Topping

 

1 ½ c flour

¾ c Brown Sugar

1c Butter

 

~Cut together and set aside

I had always wanted to make pie. When I was young, I had a friend whose Moms freezer was always filled with Pies, Mrs. Wannop. Although before the marriage of her boys she never had daughters, but did she? Even though we only had dinner there once, that I recall her feminine skills in caring for her hungry boys and husband impressed me. Soda crackers Really Good

Soda Crackers

2 tsp yeast

2/3 cups cold water

1 ½ c flour

½ tsp Salt

 ½ tsp Soda

2 tbsp melted butter

Combine to make dough

Refrigerate for one hour

Roll out and fold repeat four times this makes

 The layers in the crackers 

Roll out thin but not too thin lay rectangular dough on cookie sheet prick into squares

Then prick individual crackers

Sprinkle with salt

Bake @ 425* until golden

Healthy homemade beauty is easier than you think
Want healthy hairspray this is it !!!! 
I found this little jewel 

Homemade hairspray  
1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons sugar
2 Tablespoons rubbing alcohol
6-8 drops essential oils (optional)
Heat water to a boil and turn off heat source. Add 2 tsps of sugar and stir until completely dissolved. Then add 2 tablespoons rubbing alcohol and 6-8 drops of your favorite essential oil scent (optional).

This is a recipe i was given by my mother form an old Hutterite cook book i love it as it is so easy whether it done by hand in in a noodle maker 

21/2 c flour 
1 tsp salt 
4 eggs 
4 tbsp water 
combine the liquids 
then gradually add the dry  to make a smooth dough this can be done in a mixer and then pressed out by a noodle maker

Seasoning salt -low sodium mix

Seasoning Salt

Makes 3-1/2 cups

 

1/2 cup each...

• Table salt

• Ground black pepper

• Onion powder

• garlic powder

 

1/4 cup each...

• Chili powder

• Paprika

• dried parsley

• crushed red pepper flakes

Cayenne powder

Ground cumin

 

1. Mix all spices in a medium bowl until well combined, or pulse a few times in an electric food processor.

Making Bread can be one of the simplest things in the Word to make if you can understand a few basic components. The first is that your basic ingredience have to stay somewhat the same. For a 4-loaf recipe, you need five cups of liquid to 2 tbsp of yeast the rest you can play with up and down until you add all the yummy things your family likes so here is my own personal recipe after 16 yrs of marriage

Tortillas,Chips and Tacos
2 cups flour 
3/4 cup water 
3 tbsp olive oil  ------  M
ix together well. Knead into a soft ball. Let rest
 for 15 min
Divide into golf ball size balls and roll out on a floured surface. 
you can Have about three pre-rolled at a time but any more than that and they shrink too fast and are tough. 

 Place in a hot pan slightly oiled. 
 The temp. I found best was about 7 :00 so cooler than warm. You will have to play this by ear for your stove if the flour is burning ...

2 cups shredded jalapeños cheese (sharp cheese)

2 cups of chopped cooked meet –chicken, ham,beef sausage…

5 chopped mushrooms

1 chopped pepper

1 small fine chopped onion

Take

4 medium chicken breasts

Makes 12 - Serving Size 2 Muffins
Double, Triple, Quadruple as needed

Makes 12 - Serving Size 2 Muffins -Bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes.


Double, Triple, Quadruple as needed

2 cups cooked, shredded chicken

 1 cup diced onion 1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth (I use homemade veggie)

 1 cup frozen peas and carrots

My Homemade 4-ingredient Bread
This makes 3-4 round loaves

3 cups of lukewarm water

1 1/2 tbsp active dry yeast

1 1/2 tbsp salt

6 1/2 cups all purpose flour

 

In a medium bowl add the warm water, salt and yeast and stir together.

In the bowl of your mixer add all the flour, then pour the yeast mixture over the flour and mix using the dough hook of your mixer, until it’s all well incorporated.

 1 cup Table Salt

3/4 c Onion powder
3/4 c Garlic powder

1/4 c Ground Black Pepper 
1/4 c Chili powder

Onion Soup Mix

Homemade Onion Soup Mix

Makes one packet worth

 

4 teaspoons beef bouillon granules

3 tablespoons dried onion flakes

2 teaspoons onion powder

1/2 t garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon pepper

 

1. Stir ingredients together. If beef granules are too large, simply put them in a small baggie and roll over them with a rolling pin until they resemble a fine powder.

Lemon Pepper Seasoning

5+ large lemons
1/3 cup {scant} of crushed pepper corns {black and/or medley}
1/4 or less cup kosher salt - depending on personal preference
 

1. Zest all the lemons and mix with crushed peppercorns.

2. Spread out on parchment lined baking sheet and bake on lowest setting until the zest is completely dried.

3. Add the lemon-pepper to a spice grinder and grind until desired texture.

 Homemade Ranch Dressing Seasoning Mix

2 Tbsp dried parsley
1 tsp dried dill
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp pepper

1 cup walnuts
1 1/3 cups pitted dates
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
3-4 tbsp cocoa powder (or even Dutch cocoa)
optional: 1/8 plus 1/16 tsp salt

Momma’s Cornmeal Muffin Mix (the Best!)


4 cups flour

3 cup corn meal

12 tsp baking powder

4 tsp salt

1 1/3 cup sugar

 

To prepare

Add

2c mix

1 1/4 cup Milk

1 egg

¼ cup melted butter  

Mix together ,

Poor into muffin pans (no grease or paper necessary)

Let set for 15 min before baking for lighter results

Bake until golden brown 350 degrees

Momma’s Awesome Pancakes & Waffles Mix 

 8cups flour

4 cups powdered Milk (*optional)

8 tbsp.

16 tbsp. sugar (can be cut)

4 pinches salt

Mix together

Place in a fresh Tupperware container

 

To prepare

2 cup mix

Add

Water

For waffles

Add

5 eggs

Water (less than for pancakes)

Add just enough water to make your perfect pancake batter thickness

I like it a little thicker as it makes better thicker cakes

Mamma’s Biscuits Mix

6c flour

8tsp Baking powder

Mix together and store in a sealed fresh Tupperware container.

To prepare

 1 cup of mix

 Add  

½ cup of lard or butter

2/3 cup of milk

Gently mix together to form a soft dough

Break of orange size pieces, place on bakers sheet

Bake until golden brown in a heated oven at 350 degrees
